About

Built for organizers.

GrandPrixHQ exists because volunteers running a once-a-year race deserve software that just works.

Why this exists

What we're trying to solve.

Pinewood derby is a 70-year tradition. It survives because volunteers spend weekends every year keeping it alive — printing brackets the night before, balancing timer software on a laptop in a church basement, hoping the Wi-Fi holds. They do it because their kids love it.

GrandPrixHQ exists to give that volunteer night back. Parents register from their phones before they arrive. Heats auto-generate. Results publish the moment they're final. The race still belongs to your group — we're the tool that gets out of the way.

What we believe

The principles guiding the product.
  • The organizer is the hero

You're the Cubmaster or race chair who made race day happen. The kids had a great race. We never take credit for that — you do.

  • Respect for volunteers

Race organizers are unpaid. We respect that by writing software that doesn't waste their time, doesn't talk down to them, and doesn't require an IT degree to run. If something needs explaining twice, we wrote it wrong.

  • Reliability over cleverness

This is a product people use once a year, in front of 200 parents. If it breaks, the night is ruined. We pick boring, well-tested patterns over clever ones — every time.
